Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdock in a major way as one of the stars of the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. There could also be more of Cox’s Daredevil featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, opening the door for fun team-ups with other popular characters.
Per Agents of Fandom, Cox addressed his role as Daredevil during a panel at FAN EXPO Chicago. He shared that the Marvel character he’d most want to see his Daredevil partnering up with next would be Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland in the MCU. As Cox explained, “Spider-Man and Daredevil together is so iconic. I hope we get to work together again.”

‘No Acting Required’: Daredevil: Born Again Cast Discuss Reuniting Post-Netflix
Charlie Cox and the Daredevil: Born Again cast talk about working together again and how their show continues several of the Netflix-era storylines.
Cox and Holland have shared the screen before. After the end of the original Daredevil series, Cox made his surprise return to the role with a cameo in the hit 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home. While his appearance was rumored, it wasn’t confirmed until the movie’s release that Cox would return as Daredevil in the MCU. However, Cox appeared as Matt Murdock in the film, and his Daredevil alter ego did not have a proper team-up with Spider-Man, who was busy partnering up with alternate versions of himself. Cox’s cameo still linked Daredevil to the MCU, ultimately creating the opportunity to make a new Daredevil series.

Additionally, Cox appeared as Daredevil in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. If Cox gets his way, he will also be a part of the upcoming Avengers movies that are in development. At FAN EXPO Chicago, he also hinted that there’s “one particular group of people that I would like to be invited to join.” It’s most likely that Cox is referring to the Avengers, who will assemble for the upcoming films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Now that the events of Daredevil are firmly established as MCU canon, it’s very possible Cox will be a part of one or both of those films, but he hasn’t been officially announced for either at this time.
